This is an important film, as anyone can see--but its biggest problem is that it assumes "world government" is even attainable once the oil runs out.
I'm not complaining--in fact, I now have a legal basis to not pay my taxes--but the entire infrastructure assumed by the film's conclusion is simply not credible given the physical resources necessary (and that will not be available) once the petroleum-fueled civilization ends.
Despite the terrible production values this is still an important film, as it gives a great deal of information that is TOTALLY uncirculated (for obvious reasons) about the nature of power and how that power is fucking us every day of our lives.
My advice to everyone is: read "The Long Emergency" by James Kuntsler, and figure out how to grow/hunt food in whatever region you live in--or move to one that supports those activities. As a post-industrial species WE ARE FUCKED, and the only chance any of us has to NOT be part of the die-out of 5/6ths of the human race is to rediscover how to make our own food.
Good Night, and Good Luck.
